Senior OMP Consultant– ECC to S/4HANA

The employer is a Supply Chain Consulting company, that helps global clients with Advanced Planning System (OMP) implementation. To ensure seamless continuity of demand planning, supply planning, and detailed scheduling processes in OMP during and after the transition from SAP ECC to S/4HANA. This role will be pivotal in identifying, planning, and executing all transition activities across both SAP and OMP environments, ensuring robust data integrity, configuration alignment, and integration stability.

Responsibilities

• Transition Leadership: Drive end-to-end OMP transition strategy during ECC → S/4HANA migration; align planning processes and system configurations.
• Technical Oversight: Execute necessary changes in data, configuration, and integrations; lead unit, integration, and regression testing.
• Testing & Validation: Design and oversee UAT for planning processes; support business users and resolve issues promptly.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as liaison between IT, business planning, and external partners; provide guidance on OMP capabilities in S/4HANA context.
• Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Maintain transition documentation; train and support internal teams for long-term sustainability

Requirements

• Experience with SAP ECC and S/4HANA: Strong understanding of SAP ECC and hands-on experience with S/4HANA migration projects (min. 8 years experience)
• OMP Expertise: Proven experience in OMP (Order Management & Planning) implementation, configuration, and integration.
• Planning Processes Knowledge: Deep understanding of demand planning, supply planning, and detailed scheduling processes.
• Transition & Project Management Skills: Ability to plan, drive, and execute end-to-end transition activities across SAP and OMP.
• Technical Skills: Experience with data structure changes, system configuration, and integration touchpoints; able to lead testing activities (unit, integration, regression).
• Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Ability to create and maintain comprehensive documentation; train and support internal teams for sustainable operations.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong attention to detail, data integrity, and problem-solving abilities.
• Language: Fluent English (both written and spoken).
